How to Delete or Inactive from QuickBooks Online's Chart of Accounts? Problem: New users to QuickBooks Online and have only been using QuickBooks Online since January. That company has at least 2800 different categories and subcategories in its chart of accounts that they do not need. They have been given permission to go through and update it with what we do not need any longer but when they try to go and make them inactive, sometimes it gets a pop-up saying "This account cannot be deleted because it is used by a product or service.  How do they get around this to make it inactive? Also, they have categories, for example, Office Employment Cost, and then underneath that, they have about 7 subcategories. They no longer need all 7 of those subcategories and are looking condense it from 7 to just 1 subcategory called Benefits. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
